IOM and PUM Collaboration on Promoting and Facilitating Diaspora Entrepreneurship in Ghana and Ethiopia

You are here: Home / Newsletter February 2019 / IOM and PUM Collaboration on Promoting and Facilitating Diaspora Entrepreneurship in Ghana and Ethiopia

20 March, 2019

IOM, the International Organization for Migration in the Netherlands, and PUM, the Netherlands Senior Experts, entered in a new partnership, starting on 1 November 2018 for a two-year period.

The ED4D (Entrepreneurship by Diaspora for Development) programme aims to encourage the Ghanaian and Ethiopian diasporas residing in the Netherlands, or Dutch entrepreneurs in partnership with diaspora to engage as entrepreneurs for the development of the private sector in Ghana and Ethiopia.

With this programme, IOM and PUM try to address the different challenges the diaspora face when wanting to set-up businesses and act as facilitators and coordinators at the service of the selected entrepreneurs. The entrepreneurs will be offered assistance in their journey to start up or expand businesses back home.

Ms Andy Wehkamp (PUM) and Mr Antonio Posa (IOM) sing the cooperation agreement
