Many diaspora members that engage in CD4D assignments are also engaged in other projects. For example, Mr. Hakeem Gibril, a Sierra Leonean participant also works as a volunteer healthcare consultant at the Centre for Collective Learning and Action (CCoLA) in Leiden.
On one of his CD4D assignments in Sierra Leone, Mr. Abubakarr Bangura, a social entrepreneur organised a national workshop on ITC, Entrepreneurship and Research. The Institute of Advanced Management and Technology (IAMTECH) hosted the event and has since become one of the leading educational institutions in the field.
